Love Yourself

International Women’s Day

Photo of Liz Doyle for International Women's Day

Wow! Did I need that water after my session on International Women’s Day at Netfest, an online networking session – from my festival water bottle obvs 💦💃🏻🎪

It was a remarkable day organised by a remarkable woman, Jacqueline Rogers. It was all about sharing our skills and knowledge with other like minded women to amplify them and also to challenge our thinking.

There were “tents” where we could go along and learn loads and just get some wonderful insights.

The title of my tent was “Why Women need to Love Themselves More”. Why is that? Because by loving and accepting ourselves completely, it means we welcome a successful life with ease, gratitude and joy.

We did a few exercises which were so powerful. They were:

WHO ARE YOU? What do you believe?

We all have many positive things we believe, and we want to continue to reinforce these.

But many of our beliefs are negative and continue to contribute to uncomfortable experiences in our lives.

Far too often, these are the limiting beliefs of our parents, care givers or society in general.

It is surprising how many of these beliefs were gathered around the age of 5.

Surely not all these old beliefs are relevant to our current lives?

Think of the image of an iceberg.

There is a great deal of it hidden under the surface, just like our subconscious minds.

So, periodic house cleaning is really, really useful.

However, it is impossible for us to change any limiting beliefs unless we know what they are.

I asked the group what a range of simple words meant to them and it was intriguing what came up for the women in the “tent”.

We then took a look at some of Louise Hay’s How to Love Yourself steps. I take my clients through all 12 but in this session we looked at:

1. Stop All Criticism!

2. Forgive Yourself

6. Praise Yourself

I am sharing my YouTube video – Stop All Criticism and if you wish, you can then watch all 12 of Louise’s How To Love Yourself:

How To Love Yourself by Louise Hay

Here is some of the beautiful feedback I received.

“ Thanks for the session for International Women’s Day today, it was great, I got a lot out of it.  Loved your key points and will certainly be putting them into practice. Thanks again and hope to hear you talk again in the future. “

“ So pleased I came to yours again!! Second time, it had a bigger impact. I just watched my recording back and I could hear you saying ‘don’t criticise’…. So I watched it differently and actually, I wasn’t the mess I thought I was. I came across ok. Learnings obvs… But I’m pleased with it which I NEVER thought I’d say. Thank you xx “

“I really enjoyed your session, it was very poignant and humbling.  I’ve even practiced the mirror affirmations a couple of times since which is huge for me. “

I’m always so so grateful for such lovely feedback and I couldn’t be happier that they got so much in such a short space of time ♥️💚♥️💚

Do you compare yourself to others?

I hope you managed to find some peace, love and fun whether you were alone or with others this Christmas time. It can be a challenging times in the best of years but this year has been like no other!

Within the Love Letter, I shared this beautiful affirmation from Louise Hay which is rather fitting for how I feel after reflecting on what 2020 brought me in my life overall

In the Infinity of Life Where I am, All is Perfect, Whole and Complete.

Positive Affirmations

I have found using positive affirmations really powerful in my life. If this is something you’re keen to develop further, here are some more of Louise’s that you can try on for size. The important thing is to say them every day and in front of a mirror is even better!

I love and approve of myself.

I am Divinely guided and protected at all times.

I come from the loving space of my heart, and I know that love opens all doors.

The more peaceful I am inside, the more peace I have to share with others.

My unique and creative talents and abilities flow through me and are expressed in deeply satisfying ways.

I am in the process of positive change.

I am in charge, I now take my own power back.

As I say yes to life, life says yes to me.

I Love Myself Therefore…

Another exercise which you might like to try is in this video. It’s so easy to do and very powerful:

I love myself therefore

If you think this is the time to make those real positive changes, you can find out with this link, how we can work together.

I hope you enjoyed my December Sunday Love Letter and I wish you a very happy, healthy and wealthy 2021. I am very much looking forward to moving on into what must be a better year for so many ♥️

Are You Enough?

Image of Liz Doyle - Are you enough?

Along the way, some of us (an awful lot of us) have learnt to believe that we’re not good enough – are you enough?

Not clever enough

not pretty enough

not outgoing enough

not old enough

not young enough.

You are enough

I am enough

we are all enough

more than enough.

It’s time to step into your enoughness

It’s time to step into your magnificence and just own it. Enough of being hard on yourself, enough of putting yourself down, enough of not shining your light. You are enough, you’ve always been enough and you always will be enough.
💚
Am I going on with the enough word? No…. I don’t think I’ve said it enough.
💚
So basically, what I’m saying is YOU ARE ENOUGH.
💚
Just think what would happen if every person on this planet, from a young age, just thought they were enough? The world might be a kinder place, a happier place, a more loving place.
💚

In this short video, I talk about why so many women don’t feel good enough.

Why don’t women feel good enough?

If this is something that really resonates with you, follow this link to see how working with me can change those feelings of not enoughness.

Here are some of the things you’ll get by working with me:

Find your way to a place of clarity, alignment and clear intention

Discover or rediscover your own personal power

Deep self-love which leads to inspired action…

Letting go of comparisonitis

The knowledge that you have always been worthy enough to attract the future you want

Find freedom in forgiveness…

Transform overwhelm, doubt, and fear into love, confidence, and trust

Trust your intuition to know when you’re on the right path, and determine when a change is needed

I’d love to hear from you 💚

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

With Pride Month nearly over it’s so so sad to still see so much homophobia and hate speech around. So, I just wanted to to talk about Louise Hay’s work with HIV and AIDS sufferers back in the 80’s. Louise Hay and the Hay Rides were a complete life line to so many people at a time when they felt isolated and rejected by society at large. 🌈🌈🌈

In 1985, she began, in her home, what later became her famous support group, The Hayride, to help HIV/AIDS patients and their families. This was a time when these people were pushed away by society – so many literally had nowhere to go as their families and loved ones turned their backs on them. It is such an important part of her legacy.

In a blog called, “My Fabulous Disease,” Mark S. King wrote that Hay’s “message of self-love and unconditional acceptance—of our lives and other people—resonated like a beacon to the frightened gay men of Los Angeles.”

Here is the link for the entire blog.

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

It was in Los Angeles in 1987 that the Hay Rides started, gatherings of people with AIDS, mostly gay men, looking for an answer or, at the very least, loving human contact. Some came away from the Hay Rides in despair, but others came away with self-love that was hard to find as a gay man in the 1980s.

As Louise wrote,

“Often what we think of as the things ‘wrong’ with us are only our experiences of our own individuality.”

Louise Hay

And this is a section from Sherri Lewis’ blog when Louise passed:

“ Yes, Louise Hay undoubtedly profited from AIDS. But she also reached out to the HIV/AIDS community as early as 1985, before doing so became a major celebrity cause — and two years before President Reagan first initiated the topic of AIDS in a speech. She held her first support groups for people with AIDS in her own home. And she did this at a time when there was more rage than hope, when there seemed to be no future for those living with the disease. For many, there wasn’t.

At that time, Louise opened her home and her heart and carried us as we grieved. “I am safe; it’s only change,” she taught us to say. So, for all that, I believe that Louise Hay was a true angel who earned her wings. Thank you, Louise, and rest in peace.”

Again, I am sharing the link for the whole blog.

I so hope that we can just start to love and accept ourselves more so that we can love and ACCEPT others more. It really is as simple as that…..🌈🌈

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this blog and if you have come across Louise Hay before – get in contact here.

1 to 1 Online Coaching Sessions

1 to 1 Online Coaching Sessions

I love sharing my 1 to 1 online coaching sessions. We are not alone in our thoughts and feelings as well as life experiences even though it feels like we are sometimes.

Louise Hay’s philosophies work at a very deep level and transform in ways that can’t be described but need to be experienced. The positive changes that women see can’t be done alone nor with just reading her books.

Would you like to clear out old stories from your past and reach even deeper levels of love and acceptance to improve your relationships, success, prosperity and health?

Thank you Peggy. I always want the women to feel this way.

“Liz’s way of leading the workshop was like having a lovely time with a trusted, close friend.

I felt very safe, I was heard and felt empowered.

After the workshop, I have only one thing to say to myself, Yes Peggy, you can do it!

Thank you Liz”

Peggy

I have a few questions for you…..

Do you feel good enough?

Do you tell yourself that you are amazing?

Or do you find that you keep telling yourself –  I can’t do that….

Who do I think I am?

I’m not good enough…..

Or I’m too big, too old, too young, too inexperienced, too chatty, too quiet…..

Well, you’re not. You’re enough. You’re more than enough.

Maybe these online sessions are for you?

You want to heal and get closure from a negative life event such as a toxic relationship, difficult breakup, painful loss, traumatic incident, accident or illness.

You want to learn how to release old or hidden emotions.

You’re looking for simple tools and ideas to help you heal from the past so that your true self can emerge.

You want to let go of emotional baggage that’s holding you back.

You want to replace self-criticism with self-acceptance and self-love

You want to feel happier and start living your life with a new sense of freedom and joy. 🙋🏾‍♀️

If any of the above resonates with you and you’d like to have a deep, deep sense of self worth, I can show you how.

Always Have a High Opinion of Yourself

Always Have a High Opinion of Yourself

I was told recently in a message that I have such a high opinion of myself 🤔

I was being insulted but it got me thinking 🤓

Of course, I have a high opinion of myself. Why shouldn’t I? 😳

I spent so many years having quite the opposite opinion of myself that it’s a delight to know my own worth nowadays. Sometimes the old feelings can tug me back again but I know how to rectify them very quickly.

That message was fascinating – it said more about the other person and gave me great insight into their character. 🤨🤨

So please always have an exceptionally high opinion of yourself. Because if you don’t nobody else will.

“Having a low opinion of yourself is not ‘modesty. ‘ It’s self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not ‘egotism. ‘ It’s a necessary precondition to happiness and success.”

Bobbie Sommer
“Having a low opinion of yourself is not 'modesty. ' It's self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not 'egotism. ' It's a necessary precondition to happiness and success.” Bobbie Sommer

Do you always want to have a high opinion of yourself? Here are some ideas.

Be aware of what you’re thinking

Beliefs are thoughts that we accept as the truth. What we think about the world and ourselves becomes true for us. What we choose to believe can expand and enrich our world or do quite the opposite!

Listen to Your Soul.

This is loving and honouring yourself and your intuition, and not overriding your soul’s wisdom with other people’s opinions of what you should do.

Embrace Your Authenticity

Allow your true feeling, opinion, thoughts, and ideas to be enough.

Live the life you deserve

Sometimes we don’t put enough effort into creating a good life for ourselves because deep down we don’t believe we deserve it – often comes from our early childhood or buying into other people’s opinions.

Now if you’re still feeling that this is beyond you, you might be stuck in your old ways thinking and feeling. Do you want to break free?

Signs you may be stuck

You wake up tired

You realise you’ve lost your sparkle

You only get excited about things that involve food or drink!

You don’t feel at home in your own body

You feel like you missed whatever chances you had

The True cost of staying stuck

You never fully realise the possibilities of your life

You trudge though life disappointed, disheartened or discouraged

You will never truly be free

Here’s a super short video about feeling stuck!

Do you feel stuck or trapped?

I can help you break free, become unstuck once and for all AND have a high opinion of yourself – find out about how you can work with me with this link.
