Growth Work NOT Homework

Image of a plant growing with text; Growth Work NOT Homework. Liz Doyle the Positive Change Coach

So that my clients can benefit from the work we do in our sessions, they have a little bit of growth work to take away each week – it’s simple AND it’s NOT homework

The growth work material helps my clients go through what has been covered each week.

I always want them to see it as a gift to themselves.

All the sessions are designed to help the healing process.

Even if a client has worked with this material before, there is always a deeper level of healing that can occur.

We will go into ourselves deeply to break through the layers of the old stories and find the beauty inside.

Meditations/Visualisations

I will also send my client a recording of one of the meditations I took them through during that session. This helps her to really consolidate everything we have looked at. It also helps her to introduce the meditation practice into her life if she hasn’t already.

With meditation, the goal is to focus attention on some specific thought and allow the mind to transcend its usual jumping all over the place. Plato likened the mind to a ship where the sailors have mutinied. The discipline of meditation quells it so that the captain and the navigator can steer consistently and coherently. Others have referred to our minds as a “monkey mind” jumping all over the place. Meditation helps stop the monkey from jumping!

Meditation allows us to shift attention from all the demands of our busy, outer world to a quiet inner world. It’s really an activity of the heart. When you consistently spend time in meditation, you find a core of strength and wisdom, and you develop more of a flow with life.

Here’s a super short video which gives a little more insight to the growth work.

Growth Work to help my clients even more

The most important thing I want my clients to remember is to be very gentle with themselves as they process the work we have done.

And wherever they are right now in their journey is perfect. Whatever she is doing is moving her forward. And that the growth work is not homework!

And what I always say about the Growth Work

“Put your attention on what you are doing, not what you aren’t!”

Go at your own (relaxed) pace.

There’s no need to feel that you’re falling behind or that you need to catch up. Trust the process.

Relax and celebrate.

Attending these sessions is a powerful step forward.

Please celebrate every step that you take!”

As always, I’d love to hear what you think and if you’d like to find out more about me, just follow this link.

Who do you need to forgive about money issues?

Text - Who do you need to forgive about money issues? Liz Doyle Positive Change Coach

Who do you need to forgive about money issues? 💷💰💳💶

This can be a difficult subject for so many of my clients. Forgiving others and ourselves over money issues.

So that we can empower ourselves in our relationship with money and other forms of prosperity and abundance, we need to release limiting beliefs. We also need to practise new ways of thinking about prosperity and one of those new ways is in forgiveness.

Who do you need to forgive about money issues – did someone borrow money and not pay you back? 💷

Did someone betray you financially? 😳

Are there money issues within your family?

Do you need to forgive yourself about money issues – perhaps you ran up your credit cards too much or wasted money that you didn’t really have in the first place? 💳🤦🏻‍♀️

Maybe you still feel you’re still treating money like that old, toxic friend you never see? You know the one!

It’s time to forgive yourself and move on

Accept yourself, right now, with your current consciousness about money.

So, you’ve made some mistakes in the past. Who hasn’t?

Everyone has. But remember, up until now you weren’t aware of your old stories that were running the show – up until now!

Now you do, so you can begin changing them and have a whole new experience with money and abundance!

So, right now, let go of the past, forgive yourself, and be willing to create a new and harmonious relationship with money and your abundance consciousness.

Here’s a very short video about forgiving yourself from the beautiful Louise Hay and her How To Love Yourself

How to love yourself by Louise Hay – Forgive Yourself

Now say it with me

“I forgive others for teaching me incorrect beliefs”

“I forgive myself for using money unwisely in the past”

We are never really done with forgiveness of any kind. Just when we think we’ve forgiven someone or ourselves for something, some memory might pop into our head and we’re right back there again. BUT it does get easier the more we make forgiveness a part of our lives.

Forgiveness does set you free but if you feel like you’re still in that prison of resentment (I’ve been there!), maybe it’s time to look at how my coaching sessions can help you. Follow this link to find out some more.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOUISE HAY

Happy Birthday Louise Hay

Last month we were celebrating Louise Hay’s legacy on the anniversary of her passing and it was such a special session and very popular. This Thursday, 8th October, we will be saying “Happy Birthday Louise Hay”.

Louise changed my life

I came across Louise’s work just when I needed it most in my life. Looking back, I think I was on burnout after different events over a number of years and to be honest, I was just hanging on in there.

From an early age, I was always pretty good at pretending everything was OK and for my kids I had to just keep going. But that isn’t a life is it?

So, when I came across Louise’s work, I saw how it could help me and then later, how it could help others.

After becoming a licensed Heal Your Life Trainer, I knew this work could help people move on from trauma; see the beauty they have within themselves and live life with a real sense of self-worth.

Since then, I have truly loved sharing Louise’s philosophies and teachings – it has been such a remarkable journey and I’m so thankful for it.

She has touched the lives of millions of people around the world and continues to change mine every day.

Louise, internationally renowned teacher and best-selling author, was a pioneer and legend in personal development. Her philosophies look at the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves, so it is timeless and offers us the opportunity for powerful personal positive change.

Thank you Louise for what you’ve brought to so many. 🙏🙏

Here is a recording of a previous birthday celebration

Louise Hay – Mirror Work

The foundation of Louise’s work is all about loving and approving of yourself. Her work is truly transformative. So although you are no longer in the physical world, Happy Birthday Louise Hay.

If you would like to find out how joining me on this journey of self-discovery and positive change can help you to truly love yourself and to live the life you want, just get in contact for a confidential chat.

Are You Enough?

Image of Liz Doyle - Are you enough?

Along the way, some of us (an awful lot of us) have learnt to believe that we’re not good enough – are you enough?

Not clever enough

not pretty enough

not outgoing enough

not old enough

not young enough.

You are enough

I am enough

we are all enough

more than enough.

It’s time to step into your enoughness

It’s time to step into your magnificence and just own it. Enough of being hard on yourself, enough of putting yourself down, enough of not shining your light. You are enough, you’ve always been enough and you always will be enough.
💚
Am I going on with the enough word? No…. I don’t think I’ve said it enough.
💚
So basically, what I’m saying is YOU ARE ENOUGH.
💚
Just think what would happen if every person on this planet, from a young age, just thought they were enough? The world might be a kinder place, a happier place, a more loving place.
💚

In this short video, I talk about why so many women don’t feel good enough.

Why don’t women feel good enough?

If this is something that really resonates with you, follow this link to see how working with me can change those feelings of not enoughness.

Here are some of the things you’ll get by working with me:

Find your way to a place of clarity, alignment and clear intention

Discover or rediscover your own personal power

Deep self-love which leads to inspired action…

Letting go of comparisonitis

The knowledge that you have always been worthy enough to attract the future you want

Find freedom in forgiveness…

Transform overwhelm, doubt, and fear into love, confidence, and trust

Trust your intuition to know when you’re on the right path, and determine when a change is needed

I’d love to hear from you 💚

CELEBRATING THE LEGACY OF LOUISE HAY

Celebrating the legacy of Louise Hay 1926-2017

Louise Hay’s gentle and powerful messages of love, forgiveness and acceptance have inspired me hugely both personally and professionally. Celebrating the legacy of Louise Hay is such an honour and especially on the anniversary of her passing 3 years ago.

She was an inspirational teacher who educated millions since the 1984 publication of her bestseller You Can Heal Your Life, which has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide. Renowned for demonstrating the power of affirmations to bring about positive change, Louise was the author of more than 30 books for adults and children, including the bestsellers The Power Is Within You (a personal favourite) and Heal Your Body.

Louise was an absolute pioneer in personal development.

The work of Louise addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves, so it is timeless and offers us the opportunity for powerful personal transformation. The foundation of Louise’s work is, of course, loving and approving of yourself!

Here is some more of this amazing woman’s background to give you an idea of who she was (and is), taken from her website. Follow that link to find out more. Of course, if you’ve already come across Louise Hay, then I don’t need to say much more.

Dubbed “the closest thing to a living saint” by the Australian media, Louise Hay is also known as one of the founders of the self-help movement. Her first book, Heal Your Body, was published in 1976, long before it was fashionable to discuss the connection between the mind and body. Revised and expanded in 1988, this best-selling book introduced Louise’s concepts to people in 33 different countries and has been translated into 25 languages throughout the world.

FROM STRUGGLE TO STRENGTH

Through Louise’s healing techniques and positive philosophy, millions have learned how to create more of what they want in their lives, including more wellness in their bodies, minds, and spirits. Her own personal philosophy was forged from her tormented upbringing. Her childhood was unstable and impoverished, and her teen years were marked by abuse. Louise ran away from home and ended up in New York City, where she became a model and married a prosperous businessman. Although it appeared that her life had turned around, it was not until the marriage ended 14 years later that her healing really began.

Louise started what would become her life’s work in New York City in 1970. She attended meetings at the Church of Religious Science and began training in the ministerial program. She became a popular speaker at the church, and soon found herself counseling clients. This work quickly blossomed into a full-time career. After several years, Louise compiled a reference guide detailing the mental causes of physical ailments, and developed positive thought patterns for reversing illness and creating health. This compilation was the basis for Heal Your Body, also known affectionately as “the little blue book.” She began traveling throughout the United States, lecturing and facilitating workshops on loving ourselves and healing our lives.

It is always a joy to share a taste of her work in an easy to follow way so that others can get a taste of how I help women in my coaching.

You’ve had a little introduction to Louise Hay and this link will introduce who I am and how I work with women, helping them to move on from past trauma or just a period in their life where they might feel stuck.

Making Those Positive Changes

Image of Liz Doyle for the Making those positive changes blog

Do you see me blushing in the video below? ☺️☺️ Making those positive changes is possible for all of us.

This feedback was just so, well, amazing 😊

I am feeling really positive, and my life is changing.  The in depth self-focus has really made me think about how I view myself and talk to myself.  The change in self talk has been really powerful.  I am now much more aware, and less critical of myself.

All of the sessions were useful!  But in particular, the exercises on forgiveness were incredible. I have started a daily practice of forgiveness and it is very freeing.  Also love the inner child work which tied in with my other studies in a really helpful way.  Loved the intimacy work, spotting patterns I wasn’t aware of, and also doing the intuitive exercise where we draw our family and ask questions of them.

I found it all useful Liz!  Every single piece!  There wasn’t anything in this course that didn’t fire my curiosity!

A fantastic course for anyone who wants to become more self aware, who wants to be kinder to themselves and enjoy life more.  Making a daily plan at the end of the course is a great way to introduce the concepts into daily life.

#feedback #feelinggrateful #womeninbusiness #womeninspiringwomen

I have a few questions for you

Which aspect of your life do you find most challenging at the moment?

Is there a repetitive pattern that keeps manifesting in your life that you are trying to break free from?

What difference would this make to your life if you were able to resolve this?

What is the wound/trauma that has had the greatest impact on the relationship you have with yourself and others?

After answering these questions, why not journal about them (just write down what comes up for you) and then reflect on what you are looking for in your life.

After completing the above, you may want to find out about my life changing private one to one coaching package> If so, just send me a quick email at hello@lizdoyle.net to book in a call. As I said, making those positive changes is there for all of us.

I look forward to hearing from you ♥️

What are you GRATEFUL for?

Louise Hay Quote for What are you grateful for blog

During a beautiful client session recently, we did a wonderful exercise which was all about having an “attitude of gratitude”. You might have heard that term a few times before but it really is very meaningful. So I’m asking you, what are you grateful for?

It’s easy to make a mental or written list of everything you might be grateful for at any time of day. We can start and end the day with a short gratitude list or just think about it as we go about our activities.

No matter how hard life can get sometimes, gratitude is the most powerful way to get into that calmer space, be happier and welcome wonderful new experiences into your life.

This gorgeous quote from the amazing Louise Hay is just perfect, I think.

I have noticed that the Universe loves gratitude. The more grateful you are, the more ‘goodies’ you get.

I don’t mean only material things. I mean all the people, places and experiences that make life so wonderfully worth living

Louise Hay

Did you know research shows that being genuinely grateful:

· regulates the sympathetic nervous system that can calm potential anxiety responses;

· helps the brain to manage negative ruminations and focus on positive thoughts;

· is a catalyst for neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine that manage your emotions, anxiety, and stress response?

How about embodying gratitude through movement?

I love really feeling gratitude in my body. Not just saying words or writing them down but FEELING the gratefulness in my body. If you like the idea of that, then you might like this short yoga practice from Adriene

Grounding Into Gratitude – Root Chakra Yoga – Yoga With Adriene

By consciously practising gratitude, you can train your brain to pay attention to positive emotions and thoughts thus managing and reducing feelings of nervousness or anxiety.

As you can see, I have so much to say about gratitude! And I’ve only just got started!

I ask my clients “what are you grateful for?” a lot in our sessions. Developing the feelings of appreciation for our lives only bring more to be appreciative for.

What you’ll get from my coaching sessions

6 weeks that will help you transform your critical, negative inner voice into a positive force in your life.

You get to make yourself a priority and invite peace, gratitude, harmony into your life every day.

The ability to get back on your feet during or after experiencing challenging times and trauma.

Believing in yourself and accomplishing what you set your mind to achieving.

Welcome in new beginnings.

Start loving your body and transforming negativity into love.

Overcoming fears or obstacles and start each day with a positive outlook?

Do you want to:

clear your life of clutter and chaos to enable new energy to enter? ✨

conquer negative thoughts and have a strong, positive inner dialogue? ✨

have real self-love and success in your life? ✨

start the day with positivity, gratitude, motivation, and empowerment? ✨

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

With Pride Month nearly over it’s so so sad to still see so much homophobia and hate speech around. So, I just wanted to to talk about Louise Hay’s work with HIV and AIDS sufferers back in the 80’s. Louise Hay and the Hay Rides were a complete life line to so many people at a time when they felt isolated and rejected by society at large. 🌈🌈🌈

In 1985, she began, in her home, what later became her famous support group, The Hayride, to help HIV/AIDS patients and their families. This was a time when these people were pushed away by society – so many literally had nowhere to go as their families and loved ones turned their backs on them. It is such an important part of her legacy.

In a blog called, “My Fabulous Disease,” Mark S. King wrote that Hay’s “message of self-love and unconditional acceptance—of our lives and other people—resonated like a beacon to the frightened gay men of Los Angeles.”

Here is the link for the entire blog.

Louise Hay and the Hay Rides

It was in Los Angeles in 1987 that the Hay Rides started, gatherings of people with AIDS, mostly gay men, looking for an answer or, at the very least, loving human contact. Some came away from the Hay Rides in despair, but others came away with self-love that was hard to find as a gay man in the 1980s.

As Louise wrote,

“Often what we think of as the things ‘wrong’ with us are only our experiences of our own individuality.”

Louise Hay

And this is a section from Sherri Lewis’ blog when Louise passed:

“ Yes, Louise Hay undoubtedly profited from AIDS. But she also reached out to the HIV/AIDS community as early as 1985, before doing so became a major celebrity cause — and two years before President Reagan first initiated the topic of AIDS in a speech. She held her first support groups for people with AIDS in her own home. And she did this at a time when there was more rage than hope, when there seemed to be no future for those living with the disease. For many, there wasn’t.

At that time, Louise opened her home and her heart and carried us as we grieved. “I am safe; it’s only change,” she taught us to say. So, for all that, I believe that Louise Hay was a true angel who earned her wings. Thank you, Louise, and rest in peace.”

Again, I am sharing the link for the whole blog.

I so hope that we can just start to love and accept ourselves more so that we can love and ACCEPT others more. It really is as simple as that…..🌈🌈

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this blog and if you have come across Louise Hay before – get in contact here.

I love sharing my 1 to 1 online coaching sessions. We are not alone in our thoughts and feelings as well as life experiences even though it feels like we are sometimes.

Louise Hay’s philosophies work at a very deep level and transform in ways that can’t be described but need to be experienced. The positive changes that women see can’t be done alone nor with just reading her books.

Would you like to clear out old stories from your past and reach even deeper levels of love and acceptance to improve your relationships, success, prosperity and health?

Thank you Peggy. I always want the women to feel this way.

“Liz’s way of leading the workshop was like having a lovely time with a trusted, close friend.

I felt very safe, I was heard and felt empowered.

After the workshop, I have only one thing to say to myself, Yes Peggy, you can do it!

Thank you Liz”

Peggy

Do you feel good enough?

Do you tell yourself that you are amazing?

Or do you find that you keep telling yourself –  I can’t do that….

I’m not good enough…..

Or I’m too big, too old, too young, too inexperienced, too chatty, too quiet…..

Well, you’re not. You’re enough. You’re more than enough.

Maybe these online sessions are for you?

You want to heal and get closure from a negative life event such as a toxic relationship, difficult breakup, painful loss, traumatic incident, accident or illness.

You want to learn how to release old or hidden emotions.

You’re looking for simple tools and ideas to help you heal from the past so that your true self can emerge.

You want to let go of emotional baggage that’s holding you back.

You want to replace self-criticism with self-acceptance and self-love

You want to feel happier and start living your life with a new sense of freedom and joy. 🙋🏾‍♀️

Always Have a High Opinion of Yourself

Always Have a High Opinion of Yourself

I was told recently in a message that I have such a high opinion of myself 🤔

I was being insulted but it got me thinking 🤓

Of course, I have a high opinion of myself. Why shouldn’t I? 😳

I spent so many years having quite the opposite opinion of myself that it’s a delight to know my own worth nowadays. Sometimes the old feelings can tug me back again but I know how to rectify them very quickly.

That message was fascinating – it said more about the other person and gave me great insight into their character. 🤨🤨

So please always have an exceptionally high opinion of yourself. Because if you don’t nobody else will.

“Having a low opinion of yourself is not ‘modesty. ‘ It’s self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not ‘egotism. ‘ It’s a necessary precondition to happiness and success.”

Bobbie Sommer
“Having a low opinion of yourself is not 'modesty. ' It's self-destruction. Holding your uniqueness in high regard is not 'egotism. ' It's a necessary precondition to happiness and success.” Bobbie Sommer

Do you always want to have a high opinion of yourself? Here are some ideas.

Be aware of what you’re thinking

Beliefs are thoughts that we accept as the truth. What we think about the world and ourselves becomes true for us. What we choose to believe can expand and enrich our world or do quite the opposite!

Listen to Your Soul.

This is loving and honouring yourself and your intuition, and not overriding your soul’s wisdom with other people’s opinions of what you should do.

Embrace Your Authenticity

Allow your true feeling, opinion, thoughts, and ideas to be enough.

Live the life you deserve

Sometimes we don’t put enough effort into creating a good life for ourselves because deep down we don’t believe we deserve it – often comes from our early childhood or buying into other people’s opinions.

Now if you’re still feeling that this is beyond you, you might be stuck in your old ways thinking and feeling. Do you want to break free?

Signs you may be stuck

You wake up tired

You realise you’ve lost your sparkle

You only get excited about things that involve food or drink!

You don’t feel at home in your own body

You feel like you missed whatever chances you had

The True cost of staying stuck

You never fully realise the possibilities of your life

You trudge though life disappointed, disheartened or discouraged

You will never truly be free

Here’s a super short video about feeling stuck!

Do you feel stuck or trapped?

I can help you break free, become unstuck once and for all AND have a high opinion of yourself – find out about how you can work with me with this link.
