Mid-Year Realignment 2025: Your Ship’s Compass

So, ‘Mid-Year Realignment.’ What does that even mean? You’re not ‘falling behind’ or ‘failing.’ This is about recognising that the world, and our lives, are dynamic. What worked perfectly on the 1st of January might need a subtle tweak in June. This is just your mid-year check-in.

Think of it like a ship’s captain. They set a course, a bold vision for their destination. But they’re constantly checking the stars, the winds, and the currents. They don’t panic if they’re a few degrees off; they simply adjust. That’s precisely what we’re doing today – a powerful, proactive adjustment.

This is an opportunity to celebrate your wins, no matter how small, from the first half of the year. Every step forward, every moment of resilience, deserves acknowledgement. And it’s an opportunity to gracefully acknowledge where things might have veered off course, not with judgement or self-recrimination, but with profound curiosity and an unshakeable desire for growth. This is crucial. We’re going to be tapping into your inner wisdom. Your intuition is a powerful compass, and often, in the noise of daily life, we forget to listen to it.

Honouring the Elements: Your Abundance Altar

Before we get going, I’d like to share a beautiful and powerful tool for this mid-year realignment: my abundance altar. It is one of my favourite mindfulness practices and I wanted to introduce it for this Mid-Year Realignment for 2025.

If you don’t have one, you might consider creating your own! Many ancient cultures, including those in ancient Greece, early Celtic traditions, and Native American societies, honoured the four essential elements of life: air, water, fire, and earth. These elements are fundamental to existence, and an abundance altar helps you connect with their profound power. This ancient wisdom for modern life turns this entire practice into a mid-year wellness retreat!

You can represent each element on your altar:

🪶 Air: A feather, symbolising thought, communication, and new beginnings. If helps clear mental clutter for a sharper focus

💧 Water: A vase of clear water or a beautiful flower in a bowl, representing emotion, intuition, and flow.

🔥 Fire: A candle or incense, embodying passion, transformation, and a divine spark.

🪴 Earth: A stone, sand, or a thriving plant, grounding you in stability, growth, and abundance.

By including these representations, you honour life’s sacred cycles and deepen your connection to the natural world, fostering a sense of peace and alignment. It has become a wonderful part of my spiritual growth as well as energy clearing and healing.

“Wins & Wisdom” Check-In: Celebrate Your Journey So Far 

Let’s now get going with some practical realigning for your mid-year personal growth. I’m going to ask you a series of questions. Don’t overthink them. Just let the answers flow. This is a judgement-free zone, remember, especially from yourself.

First of all – The “Wins & Wisdom” Check In.

Looking back at the first half of the year (January to right now), what are 3-5 things you are genuinely proud of? Big or small, personal or professional. Write them down and let me know. By choosing to share with me, you get to be seen and acknowledged for your accomplishments.

How does that sound?

So, I want you to write down everything that you’re proud of. Use the sentence:

“I’m proud of…” and list your accomplishments one after another.

Here are some examples to inspire you:

List any achievements or successes that you want to acknowledge and celebrate. 

Don’t be shy or modest. It’s time to really shine a light on everything you’ve done. It’s time for you to shine your light…

Acknowledging Growth Opportunities: Where We Can Shift

Now we’re going to acknowledge areas in your life that haven’t gone so well with some self-reflection. The act of simply recognising these areas can be the first powerful step towards transforming them. 

Maybe there’s an area where you felt stuck, or things didn’t go as planned? Perhaps unhelpful habits that are not serving you, supporting you, or empowering you. 

I’m going to give you some prompts. Just write down your answers and any other insights.

Well done for bringing your awareness to any unhelpful habits or behaviours over the last six months. It is a key personal growth exercise. 

What improvements and changes would be useful to make, to take forward with you into the second half of this year? And again without judgement, what’s one valuable lesson you can extract from that experience? 

Embodying Gratitude: Your Magnet for Miracles

I want to share a powerful embodied gratitude practice to elevate your energy! As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, “gratitude is the ultimate state of receivership.” We hear about the benefits of gratitude but it really is the neuroscience of happiness.

And research shows that physically expressing gratitude can rewire your brain for positivity, and positivity just creates more positivity. 

This is going to be one of your best manifestation practices for 2025, trust me. This mind-body connection practice focuses on truly feeling gratitude in your body, not just intellectually thinking it.

After reading and taking part in this blog, put on a song that deeply evokes gratitude within you. I’ll share a suggestion below, but a personal favourite works beautifully too!

Here’s how to do it:

    1. Close your eyes and place your hands over your heart. Allow the feeling of gratitude to wash over you, flooding every cell.
    2. After a minute or so, stand up (if comfortable), keeping your eyes closed and a hand on your heart.
    3. Dance your gratitude! Move however feels right to embody the feeling in every single cell of your being. If dancing isn’t possible, simply sway gently. The key is to feel the gratitude physically, vibrantly.

This practice will quite literally transform you into a gratitude magnet!

Song Suggestion: “I’m So Grateful I’m Alive” by Gary Lynn Floyd (and here’s the link on YouTube) is a truly wonderful choice to start with.

Setting Your Course for the Next Half of 2025: Clear Vision, Inspired Action

So, we have taken stock, and now it’s time to look forward with renewed clarity for some powerful intention setting for the second half of year.

We are having to rush through it a bit here, but I promise you, it’s much calmer and deeper within the full course. If you’re a perfectionist or prone to self-criticism, please remember this vital truth: Who you are, right now, is good enough. More than good enough, you are magnificent. Cultivating positive thoughts and a compassionate inner dialogue is absolutely key to profound fulfilment, connecting you ever more deeply to your truest desires.

Envisioning Your Dream Life: The Ideal Day Exercise

Are your intentions truly leading you to your dream life? To live your dream, you first need to define it with clarity and passion. The Ideal Day Exercise, a super powerful visualisation technique, helps you do this in a wonderfully manageable way by focusing on just one single day, two years from now. This makes it feel tangible, achievable – palpable. That’s why I had to include it in this mid-year realignment for 2025

Get your journal or some paper, get yourself really comfortable, and gently close your eyes. Imagine waking up immensely happy, feeling a surge of joy and knowing a truly great day is ahead. Let go of today’s reality and just go for it. Visualise everything from the very moment you wake until you peacefully go to sleep. 

Engage all your senses to create your ideal life from your ideal day.

Your Ideal Day Prompts:

As you imagine, consider:

Don’t censor yourself; dream freely and tap into your deepest, most authentic desires. Write down every detail from your ideal day, focusing not just on what you do, but crucially, how you feel. Engage all your senses to create a vivid, tangible picture.

This powerful, and when repeated, visualisation trains your subconscious mind to work towards your desired reality. You are literally dream life planning!

Growth Work NOT Homework

So that my clients can benefit from the work we do in our sessions, they have a little bit of growth work to take away each week – it’s simple AND it’s NOT homework

The growth work material helps my clients go through what has been covered each week.

I always want them to see it as a gift to themselves.

All the sessions are designed to help the healing process. 

Even if a client has worked with this material before, there is always a deeper level of healing that can occur.

We will go into ourselves deeply to break through the layers of the old stories and find the beauty inside. 

Meditations/Visualisations

I will also send my client a recording of one of the meditations I took them through during that session. This helps her to really consolidate everything we have looked at. It also helps her to introduce the meditation practice into her life if she hasn’t already.

With meditation, the goal is to focus attention on some specific thought and allow the mind to transcend its usual jumping all over the place. Plato likened the mind to a ship where the sailors have mutinied. The discipline of meditation quells it so that the captain and the navigator can steer consistently and coherently. Others have referred to our minds as a “monkey mind” jumping all over the place. Meditation helps stop the monkey from jumping!

Meditation allows us to shift attention from all the demands of our busy, outer world to a quiet inner world. It’s really an activity of the heart. When you consistently spend time in meditation, you find a core of strength and wisdom, and you develop more of a flow with life.

Growth Work to help my clients even more

The most important thing I want my clients to remember is to be very gentle with themselves as they process the work we have done.

And wherever they are right now in their journey is perfect. Whatever she is doing is moving her forward. And that the growth work is not homework!

And what I always say about the Growth Work

“Put your attention on what you are doing, not what you aren’t!”

Go at your own (relaxed) pace. 

There’s no need to feel that you’re falling behind or that you need to catch up. Trust the process.

Relax and celebrate.

This feedback was just so, well, amazing 😊

I am feeling really positive, and my life is changing.  The in depth self-focus has really made me think about how I view myself and talk to myself.  The change in self talk has been really powerful.  I am now much more aware, and less critical of myself.

All of the sessions were useful!  But in particular, the exercises on forgiveness were incredible. I have started a daily practice of forgiveness and it is very freeing.  Also love the inner child work which tied in with my other studies in a really helpful way.  Loved the intimacy work, spotting patterns I wasn’t aware of, and also doing the intuitive exercise where we draw our family and ask questions of them.  

I found it all useful Liz!  Every single piece!  There wasn’t anything in this course that didn’t fire my curiosity!

A fantastic course for anyone who wants to become more self aware, who wants to be kinder to themselves and enjoy life more.  Making a daily plan at the end of the course is a great way to introduce the concepts into daily life.

Which aspect of your life do you find most challenging at the moment?

Is there a repetitive pattern that keeps manifesting in your life that you are trying to break free from?

Married to or living with a narcissist? 

Or are you wondering if they are?

Here are some things to remember:

They need you more than you need them

They are jealous and envious of anyone who has more than them – even you. That’s why they try to destroy you

There is always an agenda to their generosity

They get information out of you to hold it against you later

The more you tolerate their bad behaviour, the more they think you deserve it and the worse it will get

The weaker or more vulnerable you become, the more powerful they feel

They are extremely vindictive and will make you “pay” for ANY slight they perceive you’ve made

You are made to feel as if you’re going mad because they deny nearly everything they’ve said or done after the event

They criticise your friends and family and will try to force you to alienate yourself from them.

Text says break up was due to religious reasons. He thought he was god.

If this feels all very familiar, life can be so so difficult for you and if children are involved, of course, it can be even worse. It could be like you’re living a life of torture every day.
